Day 47, 8km: Twisting by the pool

Today's objective was to rest by the lake and start preparing the itinerary, customs crossing and motorcycle maintenance that I want to do in Central America.
Tomorrow I'm off to Belize!

Another objective was to have great food, cold beer and generally a relaxing time with the amazing view here at the hotel :)

Laguna de Bacalar
I did a small tour of the city, looking for a nice place for lunch with a view. Most of the buildings bordering the lake are private houses, some of which very nice. Then there's a few diving/wakeboard restaurant/bar type of place. A few seafood restaurant/tour bus type of place. Neither were very exciting.

Came back to the hotel and sat next to the pool, ordered a ridiculous amount of food and enjoyed the view.

View from the hotel, not bad right?
So that was a quiet day, with a nice view and a nice breeze. Did my laundry and my accounting to compensate for the fact that it is such a shameless way to spend one's Monday.

My spot for a few hours
Wish you a great week ahead everyone!

Cheers,
Guillaume

  1. That seems like good place for settling with that indigenous black pearl opening a restaurant along sea side...
